Wright Cyclone engine. Widely used on aircraft between the 1930s and 1950s. Widely known for its use on Boeing, Dc-3, ad Lockheed airliners.

The mighty Wright Cyclone was literally "strong enough to lift a fortress" as it was the power plant for the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress. This air cooled, famed aviation engine was eventually used to power may aircraft during the WWII years and even powered an army tank!
